Makerere University Business School (MUBS) embraced and institutionalized the greening Friday concept. It is marked at MUBS every 3rd Friday of Ramadhan and the entire MUBS community (irrespective of religious affiliation) is involved in Environmentally friendly activities like cleaning of the University campus, distribution and planting of trees. This effort has seen over 20,000 tree seedlings distributed and/or planted and has spread to the Uganda Prisons
