A Director of Energizing Solutions Ltd, Hajjat Sebyala is a professional insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute( ACII) –UK , and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Uganda (FIIU) she was the first Uganda female to acquire those qualifications, She worked for the MINETs international Insurance brokers, the Panworld Insurance Company( Now Lion Assurance) and was the first Project Manager of Uganda Reinsurance Company. A Hon. Secretary to both the Uganda Insurers Association(UIA) and the Insurance Institute of Uganda(IIU) She continues to do Insurance consultancy work.
Hajjat holds a first class Masters in Management Studies Degree from Uganda Management Institute, and has held several management and Board positions. She holds various mentoring certificates including one from British Council, Professional fast track program. She continues to do coaching and mentoring for personal development both as a Career and a service to others. This has taken her to institutions like ICSA, DFCU Bank, Uganda Revenue Authority(URA), Techno serve, Telesat International, CEDA international, Coach Africa Speaker Forum, and others. She is a Management Consultant .
She serves on various boards like the National Enterprise Corporation(NEC) which is the Commercial arm of the Uganda People defence forces (UPDF), where she chaired three different Committees, Kampala University Council where she chairs the Finance Committee, Makerere College School Board of Governors, representing the Old students, Makerere University Business School(MUBS) Mosque Board. Was president to Uganda British Alumni Association and also the first female president of the Makere College School Old Students Association(MACOSA). She consults on Board matters, Board induction, Board & Senior Executive Retreats and Board evaluations
Has coordinated many local and international conferences, incuding She was National Coordinator of the Organisation of Islamic Corporation (OIC) conference in 2008 which hosted over 1,000 delegates. Was a national catalyst at the smart Partnership munyonyo,2009 also coordinated the East, Central and Southern Africa employers Conference, 2010.
